Over 20 years. The same love / the same passion for what we do.

Alicia Pilates was born in Alaró more than two decades ago, when Alicia Gómez decided to teach Pilates exactly as she had learned it: with technical rigour, no shortcuts, and a lot of care. What began as a small studio is today a benchmark for people across the whole Raiguer region.

Here we don't sell perfect bodies.

We offer something harder, and more real: the chance to leave a little better every day than you arrived. That’s what guides our methodology, how we treat you, and our commitment to you from day one.

Because we believe well-taught Pilates transforms people, and that everyone deserves a space where they feel truly cared for.

Alicia Gómez

Founder and director

Certified instructor in the STOTT PILATES® method, one of the most rigorous and complete schools in the world. She’s been teaching in Alaró for over 21 years, and in that time she’s learned that the most important movement isn’t the one you make in PILATES: it’s the one that changes how you feel for the rest of the day.

She knows every student by name. She knows how they move, what’s hard for them, and what they’ve improved. She has a clinical eye no app can replicate, because precision isn’t a technical detail: it’s the difference between working well and compensating badly.

"Correcting a millimetre in foot position isn't a quirk of mine. In that millimetre lies the difference between loading the knee or working the glute."

Our team

We’re a team of instructors specialised in different disciplines, all in continuous training, with one thing in common: we care about the people in front of us, and we care about their progress.

ALICIA GÓMEZ

Madrid-born and Alaró by adoption, with a higher technical diploma in Marketing and Advertising. After more than 10 years working in banking, I decided to make a complete turn in my life and move to Mallorca, where I discovered my passion for Pilates.

Curious about the method, I came across STOTT PILATES®, an internationally renowned Canadian school, where I trained and completed all their courses, becoming a Stott Pilates® Full Instructor: Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels, Matwork, Injuries & Special Populations, ZEN-GA® Equipment, TotalBarre, Slings Myofascial Training®.

Since then — over 20 years now — I've taught private and group Pilates mat and equipment classes.

Since 2016 I've run my own studio, ALICIA Pilates, in Alaró, where I keep training continuously so I can offer the latest movement and postural education techniques:

ERIK CONSTANTIN

Professional dancer, trained at the National Ballet Academy of Amsterdam since 2000.

Throughout my career as a dancer, I understood the importance of caring for the body as a whole. To improve my physical condition and maintain peak performance in dance, I got into yoga and Pilates. The transformative impact of these practices inspired me to explore them much further.

After years of captivating audiences on stage, I decided to move from dance into Pilates. Recognising the deep benefits this method offers, I began my full training in Mat and Studio Pilates at "Smartbody," Amsterdam.

To me, Pilates is more than a workout; it's a deep practice that strengthens and adds flexibility to the body while fostering mindfulness and connection with the breath. With a sharp focus on proper alignment and body control, I help my students find clarity in both body and mind.

In May 2023, a new chapter opened in my life and I moved to Mallorca, where I continue sharing my passion with others.

MARGA FORTEZA

Active and restless, I've always loved physical activity. From a very young age my passion for basketball had me on a kids' team and later a youth team for years.

Without ever fully giving up basketball, I discovered the Pilates method more than 10 years ago and worked it into my weekly routine. As a mother of two, I somehow practise it even more now. Thanks to the physical and mental benefits it brings me, I decided to train as a mat and aerial Pilates instructor at "Pilates 10 Academy," Barcelona.

Alicia Pilates gave me the chance to teach my first classes as a qualified instructor, where alongside enjoying teaching, I found the inspiration to continue my full Pilates training.

SUSANA MARÍ

About ten years ago, following a knee injury, I was forced to stop all intense physical activity. That's when I took my first yoga classes and discovered its benefits. It sparked a curiosity in me for meditation and everything around it, so I started attending my first Meditation and Mindfulness courses. I'm a nurse and physiotherapist by profession, and I decided to train as a yoga teacher 3 years ago. I'm certified in HATHA YOGA and VINYASA by the "Preciados" school in Madrid.
Always continuing to train, and eager to learn more about this discipline, I'm currently taking the 108 Master's in Vinyasa Yoga run by the "Yoga" school.

Since I discovered Yoga, it's become not just my passion but also my discipline and life philosophy.

CRISTINA SIMONET

An early-years teacher with more than 20 years of experience.

Although I tried different sports as a child, sport was never a pillar of my life — but years ago I understood that physical exercise is essential for keeping body and mind healthy.

It's never too late to start doing sport: I began with long walks, which turned into jogs, and with effort and determination I started running. Today I'm a trail runner, mountain-federated, and a member of the local club Sa Milana. I've taken part in many races both on our islands and elsewhere — the Pyrenees, Navarre, Cantabria... Mountain running requires stamina and strength, both to do the activity and to prevent injury, so strength, proprioception and coordination training are extremely important.

In my day-to-day I combine several types of training: pilates, hyrox, functional training... This passion has led me to train as a coach, and I'm delighted to share my theoretical and practical knowledge in my functional training classes.

AINA OZCARIZ

For more than twenty years I worked in the administration department of a school. Dedicated not only to admin but also to staff and student management, I became a diligent, sociable and empathetic person.

When I moved from Barcelona to Alaró, I left that professional side behind to focus on being a mother. I started practising Pilates years ago and saw its physical benefits first-hand. Now, over time, I'm back in an administrative role as part of the "Alicia Pilates" team — here to give you all the information you need and answer any questions you may have.

Our way of doing things

Less posturing, more posture.

When you say you can’t, we invite you to try. When you’ve been away for weeks, we genuinely miss you.

And when you finally nail that move that used to be hard, we celebrate it like an Olympic final.

Because at Alicia Pilates, a small step forward is a giant victory.
